Use Voice Xpress
Voice Xpress gives employees an alternative way to check in and out of shifts by calling a phone number instead of using the check-in and check-out slider in Team Xpress. Although it is not part of the Team Xpress app, it works alongside it as another way to record shift activity when needed.
What is a Voice Xpress number?
A Voice Xpress number allows you to complete shift-related actions by phone. Depending on your organization’s setup, you may be able to use it to clock in and out of shifts, start and end breaks, and perform safety checks.
If you already check in and out using the Team Xpress app, you may not need to use Voice Xpress.
Why would you use Voice Xpress?
Voice Xpress is useful when the Team Xpress app is not a practical option. You may need it if you do not have mobile data, if there is no cell coverage at a site, or if your phone does not support the Team Xpress app.
In some cases, there may be an on-site phone available for recording check-ins and check-outs. If you are unable to access Team Xpress and think you need Voice Xpress, contact your supervisor for help.
How do you use Voice Xpress?
Before using Voice Xpress, your supervisor must provide you with a Voice Xpress number, ID, and password. These are required to sign in and use the service.
To use Voice Xpress:
- Dial the Voice Xpress number provided by your supervisor.
- Select your language. Press 1 for English, 2 for French, or 3 for Spanish.
- Enter your Voice Xpress ID followed by the hash key (#).
- Enter your password followed by the hash key (#).
If you have a shift scheduled for that day, Voice Xpress will provide the shift details. If check-in is available at the time of your call, you can press 1 to check in. You can also press 9 to listen to your schedule.
The next time you call, Voice Xpress may give you additional options such as checking out, starting a break, performing a safety check, or listening to your schedule. If you start a break, you must call again when the break ends to record the end break time.
Once you complete your check-out, the time is recorded in your company database.
